Jason Hwang, B.S., B.A., M.A.Ed
Jason is originally from California and has 20+ years experience in English language teaching. He specializes in EAP (English for Academic Purposes), adult teaching, exams preparation, and scientific presentation & writing skills for PhD students in higher education. He is currently on a Fulbright grant in Taiwan as an EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) Advisor for university professors and a teacher trainer but splits his time working in Taiwan, Czech Republic and the UK.
Before getting involved in English teaching, he was working for one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies as a researcher, as well as acting with some of San Diego’s many theatre companies. Jason holds a Masters in Education (Applied Linguistics) from the Open University (UK), the Cambridge DELTA, and is a British Council accredited soft skills trainer. He also obtained degrees in Biochemistry/Cell Biology and Theatre from the University of California, San Diego.
